1. Definitions

User

Crew
A User who creates a profile as a maritime or offshore professional seeking employment opportunities.

Employer
A User who posts job opportunities or seeks to recruit crew.

Services
The online platform services provided by CrewMe including profile hosting, job listings, and candidate applications.


2. About the Platform

CrewMe operates an online platform designed to connect maritime professionals with employers seeking crew.

The platform allows:

  • candidates to create profiles and upload CVs
  • employers to publish job opportunities
  • candidates to view and apply for roles
  • CrewMe to facilitate introductions between users

CrewMe operates as a technology platform and does not participate in employment agreements between users.


3. Platform Status

CrewMe operates solely as a digital platform.

CrewMe:

  • is not an employer
  • is not a crewing agent
  • is not a recruitment agency
  • does not enter into employment contracts between users

Any employment agreement is strictly between the candidate and employer.

CrewMe does not guarantee employment outcomes.


4. User Accounts

Users must:

  • provide accurate and truthful information
  • maintain the confidentiality of login credentials
  • comply with applicable laws when using the platform

CrewMe reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • contain false information
  • violate these Terms
  • present security or legal risks
  • misuse the platform

5. Candidate Profiles

Candidates may upload information including:

  • CVs
  • work history
  • qualifications
  • certifications
  • professional experience

By uploading content, candidates grant CrewMe permission to host and display that information for the purpose of operating the platform.

Candidates are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate and not misleading.

CrewMe does not independently verify qualifications unless explicitly stated.


6. Candidate Consent to Share Information

When candidates upload a CV, create a profile, or apply for a role through CrewMe, they acknowledge that their information may be shared with prospective employers for recruitment purposes.

This may include:

  • profile information
  • CV or resume
  • qualifications and experience
  • other documents submitted as part of an application

Once information has been shared with an employer, CrewMe cannot control how that employer stores or uses the information.


7. Job Listings and Employer Declaration

Employers may submit job opportunities to CrewMe.

By submitting job listings, employers confirm that:

  • they are authorised to recruit for the role advertised
  • the information provided is accurate and lawful
  • they have the right to publish the opportunity

CrewMe may publish job listings on the platform so that candidates can view and apply.

CrewMe reserves the right to edit or remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable laws.


8. Applications

When a candidate applies for a role or when CrewMe introduces a candidate to an employer:

  • the candidate’s profile and CV may be shared with the employer
  • employers may retain copies of candidate information

CrewMe is not responsible for how employers store or process candidate information after it has been shared.


9. International Users

CrewMe operates an international platform and may be used by candidates and employers located in different countries.

Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable:

  • immigration requirements
  • employment laws
  • maritime regulations
  • tax obligations

CrewMe does not provide legal, immigration, or employment advice.


10. Employment Status

CrewMe does not employ or engage any crew members and does not act as an employer, crewing agent, or recruitment agency.

CrewMe provides a technology platform that allows users to connect and communicate.

Any employment relationship or service contract entered into between users is solely between those users.


11. Verification and Due Diligence

CrewMe does not independently verify the identity, qualifications, certifications, or background of users unless explicitly stated.

Users must conduct their own due diligence including:

  • reference checks
  • verification of qualifications
  • background checks where appropriate

before entering into any employment or engagement arrangement.


12. User Conduct

Users must not:

  • provide false or misleading information
  • upload unlawful or harmful content
  • impersonate another person
  • misuse the platform
  • attempt to disrupt or hack the platform

CrewMe may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.


13. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the website, platform design, and software belong to CrewMe or its licensors.

Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant CrewMe a licence to host, display, and use that content for operating and promoting the platform.


14. Paid Services

CrewMe may introduce paid services in the future, such as:

  • premium job listings
  • promoted profiles
  • advertising or marketplace services

Any applicable fees will be clearly displayed before purchase.

Prices may be subject to VAT or other applicable taxes.


15. Limitation of Liability

CrewMe is not liable for:

  • disputes between users

  • inaccuracies in user profiles or job listings
  • loss resulting from interactions between users

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.


16. Changes to the Platform

CrewMe may modify or update the platform and these Terms from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on the website.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.


17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Greek law.

The courts of Athens, Greece shall have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms.
