1. Master Platform Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of the Website and Services provided by Crew Me Greece. By creating an account or using the Website, you agree to these Terms.
1.1 Company details

1.2 Definitions
- Website: www.crewme.gr and any related domains or subdomains.
- User: any person or legal entity accessing the Website or using the Services, including Crew, Employers and Providers.
- Crew: a User who registers as a maritime or offshore professional.
- Employer: a User who registers to search for, engage, or communicate with Crew.
- Provider: a User offering services, listings, or products via the Marketplace.
- Services: the online platform services, including profile hosting, search, messaging and marketplace functionality.
- Data Protection Laws: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Greek Law 4624/2019, and any applicable EU/Greek legislation replacing or supplementing them.
1.3 Application and updates
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between Crew Me Greece and the User. Crew Me Greece may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Website after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
1.4 Platform role (important disclaimer)
Crew Me Greece operates solely as a digital platform enabling Users to discover, communicate and connect.
- Crew Me Greece is not an employer.
- Crew Me Greece is not a crewing agent or recruitment agency.
- Crew Me Greece is not a party to any employment or service agreement between Users.
- All contracts, payments, taxes, visas, certifications and compliance obligations are the responsibility of the Users involved.
Any agreement entered into between Users is strictly between those Users, and Crew Me Greece bears no responsibility for the performance, legality, or enforceability of such agreements.
1.5 Accounts, security and acceptable use
Users must provide accurate information when registering and must keep login credentials confidential.
- One account per User (unless explicitly permitted in writing).
- One active login session per account at any time; a new login may terminate an existing session.
- No impersonation, harassment, fraud, spam, or unlawful activity.
- No malware, scraping, reverse engineering, or attempts to bypass platform controls.
Crew Me Greece may suspend or terminate accounts where misuse, fraud, security risks, or breaches of these Terms are identified.
1.6 Pricing, payment and VAT
Certain Services may be offered free of charge. Paid Services and prices are displayed on the Website.
- Prices are exclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- VAT is applied in accordance with Greek and EU VAT law, including reverse-charge rules where applicable.
- Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe) to maintain PCI-DSS compliance.
1.7 Disclaimers
The Website and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
- Crew Me Greece does not guarantee the accuracy of User content or profiles.
- Crew Me Greece does not guarantee employment outcomes, availability, or suitability of any User.
- Crew Me Greece does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Users must conduct their own due diligence, reference checks and verifications.
1.8 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crew Me Greece shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, income, opportunity, data, or reputation arising from use of the Website or Services, or from disputes between Users.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
1.9 Intellectual property
All intellectual property rights in the Website and platform software belong to Crew Me Greece (or its licensors). Users retain ownership of content they upload.
Users grant Crew Me Greece a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and adapt uploaded content as necessary to operate, improve and promote the platform.
1.10 Data protection (summary)
Crew Me Greece processes personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Laws. Profiles may be viewed globally where Users choose to publish them. Full details are set out in the Privacy Policy.
1.11 Termination
Users may close their account at any time. Crew Me Greece may suspend or terminate accounts for breach, misuse or risk. Termination does not affect accrued rights or obligations.
1.12 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by Greek law. The courts of Athens, Greece shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply.
2. Crew Terms (Add-On)
This add-on applies to Users registered as Crew and supplements the Master Platform Terms & Conditions.
- Crew confirms that information provided on their profile (including experience and certifications) is accurate and not misleading.
- Crew is responsible for maintaining any required qualifications, certifications, medicals (e.g., ENG1 or equivalent), visas, and work rights.
- Crew understands that Crew Me Greece does not verify qualifications unless explicitly stated as part of a paid verification service.
- Crew is responsible for conducting due diligence on Employers/Operators and any engagement terms offered.
3. Employer / Operator Terms (Add-On)
This add-on applies to Users registered as Employers/Operators and supplements the Master Platform Terms & Conditions.
- Employers are solely responsible for compliance with labour, immigration, tax, maritime, flag-state and health & safety laws applicable to the engagement.
- Employers must verify Crew qualifications, certifications and references independently.
- Employers are solely responsible for contracts, payroll, insurance, and working conditions.
- Employers must use the platform lawfully and must not request or process personal data beyond what is necessary for recruitment/engagement without a lawful basis.
4. Marketplace / Provider Terms (Optional Add-On)
This add-on applies where the Marketplace is enabled and supplements the Master Platform Terms & Conditions.
- Providers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of listings, services, and pricing.
- Providers are responsible for consumer rights compliance, refunds (if applicable) and any sector-specific regulations.
- Crew Me Greece acts as a listing and discovery platform only and is not a party to Provider-User contracts unless explicitly stated.
- Crew Me Greece may remove listings that violate these Terms or applicable law.
5. Privacy Policy (Short Form)
This short form summarises how Crew Me Greece processes personal data. A full Privacy Policy should be published on the Website and may include additional detail on cookies, analytics, and third-party processors.
5.1 Controller and contact
Crew Me Greece is the data controller for personal data processed via the Website (except where Users independently exchange data between themselves).

5.2 What we collect
- Account and profile data (name, contact details, role, experience, documents you choose to upload).

5.4 International access and transfers
Profiles may be visible to Users outside the EU where you choose to publish your profile. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA by Crew Me Greece or its processors, appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) will be used where required.
5.5 Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.
5.6 Your rights
